About Me - A Biography

The Full Story

Carly Sutton has been a natural performer since the days she knew how to walk and talk, and her passion for performing has not dulled since. Carly was first trained as a dancer in the styles Tap, Jazz and Contemporary from the young age of 4 years old, as well as the instrument of the Piano and her own vocals with singing.

Carly didn’t find the passion for acting until the 9th grade in her school drama class, and although the late found love of acting, her passion has only continued to grow day by day.

The love for dance, music and acting all came together for Carly as she discovered nothing made her happier than performing in Musical Theatre shows. She has since gone on to be involved in many Musical Theatre productions, such as playing the lead role of Cinderella in the show Cinderella, Singin’ in the Rain, The Wizard of Oz and Broadway Babe just to name a few.

Carly has also been involved in classic Theatre productions such as Shakespeare’s ‘The Twelfth Night’ and Anton Chekov’s ‘The Three Sisters’ and is also currently working on a radio play of Dylan Thomas’s ‘Under Milk Wood’.

Carly has also developed a love for writing, producing and directing as she developed her own production titled ‘The Final Act’, which also included dance numbers that Carly had choreographed herself, and a few songs to be sung along to.

​Carly is now in the process of completing a Bachelor of Creative Arts, majoring in Acting at CQUniversity in Cairns, Queensland. By doing this Carly aspires to continue to grow her skills in acting, dancing and music, to dive into the world and gain more knowledge of film, television and media and to hopefully one day have a fulfilling and exciting career all throughout the creative industries, like she has always dreamed of.
